WE ARE YOUR PRO-LIFE MINISTRY
Founded in 1979, Right to Life Services is a 501C3 nonprofit organization incorporated separately from Rhode Island State Right to Life Committee. We are the first, the oldest, and the largest Pregnancy Resource Center in Rhode Island.
Through our Maternity Hope Chest, we provide material assistance for mothers and families. Personalized packages are put together as needed by our staff with diapers, wipes, toiletries, clothing, bassinets, pack ‘n plays, strollers, highchairs, toys, car seats and much more, subject to availability. Right to Life Services also maintains a small “food pantry” that provides baby food and formula in emergency situations.
You can receive diapers and wipes every month, and clothing and baby equipment twice a year. Please have your ID when picking up your package. If you are a new client and have already delivered, please have the birth certificate of your child. To receive material assistance, you MUST call ahead. Please contact us at (401) 521-1860. Our office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., and Saturday 8 A.M to 12 P.M. We are closed Sundays, federal holidays, and Victory Day.
Ancora Options is another part of Right to Life Services. We offer free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, STI tests, and counseling. You can visit us at 266 Smith Street, or come to any of the locations where we will be bringing our Women’s Mobile Care Center. A part of our services is to provide referrals to appropriate agencies for assistance with medical needs, housing, adoption, food programs, and post-abortion counseling. For a list of some of the agencies we refer clients to, please visit our “Pregnancy Resources” page.
We also offer our parenting classes, which are designed to educate mothers on a variety of subjects including parenting principles, screen-time limitations, developmental milestones, fire safety, appropriate discipline, chores, etc. In the Summer, we pause our formal courses and offer moms and their children activities like art class, cooking class, the Providence Children’s Museum, and a picnic at the park.
