WE ARE YOUR PRO-LIFE OUTREACH
The Rhode Island State Right to Life Educational Fund is a 501C3 entity under the Rhode Island State Right to Life Committee. The purpose of the Trust Fund is to educate the people in our state about pro-life issues, particularly high school and college students, to ensure the vitality and future of the movement.
The Educational Fund funds our Speakers Bureau. Kateri Garcia, our Educational Director, Barth Bracy, our Executive Director, and Lydia Bartlett, our Services Director, are all available to give talks at schools, parishes, and social events. They can discuss any pro-life issue, and/or the good work that Rhode Island Right to Life does. Through our network, we can also put you in contact with other speakers. For more information, please visit our “Speakers Bureau” page.
The Educational Trust Fund also conducts a variety of in-house educational programs annually for students. The Essay Contest, open to high school students in Rhode Island, prompts participants to write an argument regarding pro-life issues. There are monetary prizes for the top three ranking participants, and the first place winner’s essay is submitted for the National Essay Contest. For more information, please visit our “Essay Contest” page.
There is also the Oratory Contest. Similar to the Essay Contest, Rhode Island high-school students are prompted to prepare and deliver a speech to a panel of judges. There are monetary prizes for the top three ranking participants, and the first place winner is sent to participate at the National Oratory Contest hosted by National Right to Life. For more information, please visit our “Oratory Contest” page.
Every Summer, we host our Summer Academy for high-school and college students. For about six to seven weeks, every Wednesday, from 12 PM to 2 PM, in-house and guest speakers come to our building to deliver academic lectures regarding pro-life issues. Parents are also encouraged to attend if they wish. It is free to attend, and food and drink is provided. For more information, please visit our “Summer Academy” page.
The Educational Fund relies on your generous support. With your contribution, you allow us to host the many great educational programs that Rhode Island Right to Life offers. To donate, visit our “Donate” page.
